Dyson and Bo ending.

I hope we get a Dyson and Bo ending because I am so sick of Lauren and they did make Dyson out to be her soul mate so it would be really nice if they give us that ending.

I think it's more that she's HIS soul mate, unfortunately :/ I do hope they end up together somehow though. Lauren's okay but I never really got why people like her so much. She's kinda dull.

I guess this is why the triangle is still alive 😉

I think, for me, when Kenzi so clearly preferred Dyson and when Dyson seemed so brotherly towards her in season one, I became Team Dyson. Plus, I loved his sass. Lauren never did anything that made me care if she survived each episode till she saved Dyson from that guy who was trying to turn himself Fae. Plus, there is that whole protect the pack/loya knight thing going on combined with a teasing sense of humour (D:Does this mean your back on Team Dyson? K:You wish. D:But we've got T-sht-shirts") while Lauren was this human working for the Ash, so there was an uneasy feeling about her (for me, anyway) in season 1 because I wasn't sure about her heart-of-hearts level loyalty while Dyson was willing to break his word to the Blood King to tell Bo the truth.

Plus, Dyson has always come across as caring, to me. How he scooped up and cradled Tamsin after she had to deliver Kenzi's soul to Valhalla. When he took care of Kenzi when she got sick from the foot stew. And how he kept Bo from killing Vex, not even shifting his eyes when she turned that dagger on him. Not to mention, he cares when humans are harmed, unlike many of the Fae in the show. He's just always been more endearing (even when screwing up and having serious lapses in judgment) than Lauren.

I ship Dyson and Bo, from season 1 ep 2, to present day.

Definitely agree. I don't think Lauren's a terrible person or anything--I think she cares about people in a general sense, like in a clinical, detached way. But I think Dyson cares about people on a more personal level. Just a personality difference, I guess, but I like him better and I like the way he relates to Bo better.

reply

I like Dyson, but I am not a huge fan of Dyson and Bo together. I think both he and Tamsin mope over Bo too much, and it makes Bo more than a tad uncomfortable. It also make them look like doormats. Stalkery doormats.

Kenzi could be clingy, but since she was Bo's human sidekick, it was cute rather than creepy or sad. But there's only room for one such character in the story.

I do like Bo and Lauren together, though they did have Lauren mope over Bo a bit in season two, as well. However, whether it's because they started out as a triangle with Lauren's comatose girlfriend, or because they gave Lauren reasons for distrusting the Fae and requiring Bo to prove herself as not like the rest of her kin, there's more back-and-forth tension there. Bo actually has to work to get Lauren's love, when Dyson or Tamsin's just falls into her lap. It's more interesting to watch.

While I think Bo's confession that she didn't love Tamsin was sad to watch, I do hope that "lovelorn" isn't going to be her status quo from now on. Like Dyson, Tamsin has a lot more interesting things in her character arc than Jilted Lover.

Dyson only decided to break his word to the Blood king when they went undercover as a married couple and Dyson got upset and told Bo he didn't want anyone else touching her, and Bo told him that she was already his and that there could be no secrets.
In the beginning Dyson could care less if humans got hurt or killed except for Kenzi. In the episode with the spider, he talked about humans like they were the scum of the earth. He was always a dick when it came to Lauren because he could see Bo was falling in love with her. Lauren has always shown Bo nothing but kindness. She's actually the only one who has ever told Bo that she's not a monster.

I'm all for a Bo/Dyson ending, too. However, I won't be concerned if Bo ends up with Lauren for one reason: Lauren is human. She's going to die LONG before Dyson & Bo do. So even if Bo ends up with Lauren in the finale, it is still only temporary.

I think its more realistic that the three of them are just going to end up together, at least until Lauren dies of old age.

Was discussing this with a friend who is a fan as well, and she had an interesting theory about this. She thought perhaps the final episode will show two endings, so Ending A would have Bo going off to be a couple with Lauren and best friends with Kenzi, leaving Dyson and the Fae world behind, then Ending B would pick up a little over a century later when Bo has outlived Lauren and Kenzi, gone out on her own for a while (to mourn and to figure out who she is without them/fae/etc., possibly with a montogue type thing showing that Dyson and Trick have been keeping an eye on her and that Dyson still visits Kenzi's grave), and she comes back to Trick's bar, walks up to Dyson with some "Hey, stranger" type comment, he gets that look like he Knows (that it is time, that his mate has come to claim her prize, and all that), she smiles at Trick when he pours her whatever her favorite drink is, and that it has the camera just moving out of the bar as the three have now been reunited.

I don't think they will go that artistic with it, however I did very much agree that the show could go with that idea that Dyson steps aside to allow Lauren her happy ending [He did say he would wait, once before in the show, and allow Bo to be happy with Lauren.] and bide his time until Bo had lost Lauren and gotten to 'grow up' a little without he and Trick there to fix things or help her navigate everything, and let her come to him when she was ready. I mean, she's not even 50 years old yet, so the idea of living centuries has got to be intimidating for anyone, especially someone who loves as fiercely as Bo and has all that sucubus "love everyone" instinct going, and maybe letting her have a few decades to live and to get her head wrapped around the idea of living that long before she comes to Dyson would be good.

That would be a fantastic ending, i wish the ending would be so, but i do not think that the writers/Director has that good idea.

I always loved Bo and Dyson.

reply

I'd be very surprised if she ends up with Dyson. He seems completely friend zoned. It's Lauren unfortunately

reply

Omg I love it so much I almost want to stop watching and just assume something like that happens. Almost :)

reply

Why is it that people make a point of bringing up the fact that Lauren is human so therefore she's going to die before Bo and Dyson. That's not necessarily the case. Just because she's human and they're both Fae doesn't mean they'll live longer than she does. Hale is proof that Fae are not invincible. Lauren could quite simply outlive them both.
If Bo and Lauren don't end up together, I don't see her choosing to be with Dyson. Bo has had more than enough chances to get back with Dyson after finding out he got his love back, but she always seems to choose being with Lauren.

reply

I just have never cared about Lauren, the unfortunate side effect is that it caused me to no longer care about Bo's love life.

But I understand that's just my perception. I love Dyson, and he deserves his happily ever after. That is what I want to see. Not his smiling and accepting that he will be alone forever, without his mate. I don't care who his mate turns out to be, it doesn't have to be Bo,as long as it is authentic and he is happy.

I want the old TamTam back...I want Dyson mated and happy...I want the ENTIRE backstory about Bo's dad...I want to see Kenzie hijinks just one more time...Vex to walk away from that craptastic in love with Dyson's son storyline...and for Lauren to become the morrigan, cause that would be hilarious

i'm new here, be gentle.

The shipping wars over Lost Girl are so absurd. What Bo/Dyson shippers want to see happen is irrelevant because the series has telegraphed loudly and clearly that Bo is in love with Lauren.

A) Lauren is the only one that Bo has asked to join her in a committed relationship.
B) Lauren is the only romantic partner that Bo has unhesitatingly said "I love you" to, and more than once.
C) Lauren is the one that Bo asked to come back and give their relationship another chance.

Other than a quick chi fix, Dyson has been friend-zoned for a long time. The nail was explicitly hammered in episode Here Comes the Night (5x07) when the Oracles appeared to Bo as a vision of Dyson and she responded to 'his' statement about their love for each other being "Still there. It doesn't go away" with: "No, it doesn't. But it changes."

In television, there have been and there always will be a zillion female/male relationships to dwell on. Whatever this series may have originally intended on paper, when cameras began to roll it took a road less taken.

I prefer Lauren to Dyson but I don't think Bo should have a soulmate. Honestly I think the show should end with the love triangle live and kicking Hell through Tamsin in there too. Bo wasn't built for monogamy!

if they do have her settle down with someone, I would be disappointed if it was Dyson though. He's much better as a friend!

Bo's heart truly lies with Lauren, and it was truly cemented in season 3.

Dyson has been on the friend side for quite a while now. For some reason I never felt her with Tasmin. Yes, they have great back and forth but I think her affair with Tasmin was just another walk on the wild side with a dark fae, like she had with Ryan in season 2.

I admit, aside from a single episode of season 5 I caught by chance while traveling, the last 'new' episode I saw was the season 3 finale. [Once I can get ahold of some season 4 BluRay/DVD, I am marathoning LOST GIRL like the fate of the free world depends on it.] I also had the problem of just not really caring about Lauren as a character. Hale, Kenzi, Dyson, and Trick were characters I liked and cared about from the get-go, then later loved Vex. At this point, I don't much care who Bo ends up with- or if she even ends up with anyone. I do have a list of things I want from the finale (I'm omitting a few, since I've learned a few characters are nolonger with us, sadly.).

--Kenzi to become immortal, cause I've wanted her to be able to be BFF/roomies with Bo forever, since the first episode. I want there to be the promise that Kenzi is here to stay, to be Bo's adopted-sister, Dyson's little buddy, and last link to Hale for his grandpa. Be cool to see her working at the Dal as a bar tender, I bet no one would pull anything funny under her watchful eye.
--Dyson to be happy. I ship Dyson/Happiness. I don't care if they dig up some long-lost lover, have him fall in love with a kid Trick didn't know he had who shows up to help them, or if he redeems some bad guy with his love. I just want the man smiling, with a mate who loves him back just as fiercely, among his friends at the Dal.
--Tamsin to have some sort of happy ending. I do not want to see her dying for nothing or just fading, what have you. I want her to go down in a blaze of glory then we see her soul turn back (like Kenzi did) to smile at everyone and let them know its OK as she leaves to go home, or she has her baby and gets her wings returned (I'm a DOMINION fan, I can't take much more of this wing-stealing!) to her!
--Lauren to end on a happy note.
--Dyson's son to realize his dad's kind'a awesome and join the team.
--The Dal holding the promise of still being the whole gang's home away from home, where they know they can come and safely talk with the rest of the group whenever they need help emotionally, to fight bad guys, or just to dispel boredom.

Lauren and Bo ending up together is the way it should have been. Bo hasn't been in love with Dyson for quite some time now. She has chosen Lauren time and time again even after finding out Dyson has his love back. Dyson deserves to be with someone who can love him back and not be with someone who doesn't love him the same way he loves her. It was never made out that Dyson is Bo's soul mate. It was made out in season 1 that wolves mate for life. That was a big mistake, because then Dyson thought he couldn't love anyone else but Bo. Thank god it was established this season that he can love someone other than Bo, since Bo is so apparently madly in love with Lauren and has chosen her time and time again!
