Two questions concerning the deaths of the witches at the end.

So this was a fun movie, but I have two questions.

I think it is Hansel who explains to the boy that the only way of making sure that a witch is truly dead is to burn her. However, they only decapitate her, and do not burn her, right? Is this because they wanted to keep the story open for a sequel?

How come the white witch cannot heal her own wound, when she treated Hansel's wound inflicted in roundly the same area of the abdomen? Physician heal thyself, as they say.

I think the only reason they showed Hansel chucking the head into the oven while walking away, was for the badass factor. When the townsfolk paid them at the end you can see a big bonfire in the background, so maybe they gathered up all of the witches remains and piled 'em up. Like a sort of proof for everyone to see how many they killed.
As for the white witch. The impression that I got was that it had taken all night for her to heal his stab wound, and even then it wasn't fully closed.
So she didn't really have the time or resources to fix herself up after getting wand shanked.

It was a remnant from the original script, where they kill Muriel by showing her head-first into the oven and roast her upper body while they hold her legs outside.

Damn. I did not know that.
That would have been way better.
Can you link me the original script by any chance?

I think I still have it somewhere on my hard drive.

That is what I thought. Censorship. It's strange that censors take comedy seriously.

I don't think too much thought went into the story line, so it doesn't matter. It's just an orgy of violence for people that get off on it.
