You don't know your history. There were no wiccans as the religion you know before the 20th century. There was however the words "wikka" and later "witch"; They came about around a 1000 years ago. The words sometimes described a being that, well fits the descriptions of what we visualize on Halloween and that we saw on The wizard of oz. An old hag with a pointy hat that eats children and rides on a broom and may be in league with satan. It could also describe one that communicates with the dead or creates potions. There was no group or religions that worshipped dianna or pan or the ancient deity's. There were no "wiccans" as you know them. For sure there were no wiccans in early America that were persecuted because of their religion - It hadn't been invented yet! They didn't come about until you guys hi-jacked the name wiccan in the 20th century. Then all of you became professional victims and claimed you were and are being victimized by these nasty portrayals. One of your respected elder wiccan,Jenny Gibbons, has come to agree with what I stated here after she did extensive historic research.

BTW, that Halloween make up your wearing in your profile picture. It looks like a gay version of the Joker from the Batman movies and comic books. Who is it supposed to be?

Are you writing this to ME (Gabypanama)? I'n not sure since I got a mail saying you replied to me.

In case you are:
I was just trolling away; I'm no wikkan, witch, or whatever, I'm actually being sarcastic by appearing extremely "sensitive" and "offended" by anything, as people seems nowadays. If you look at many forums, its kind of a joke to appear offended by silly things. Like saying "I'm a sailor and I'm offended by this post" after a Popeye's cartoon.

Anyhow, great history lesson there on the topic, makes a lot of sense, thanks.

About the profile pic: I guess you're no older than 30 years old? That's not me!!! It's Cesar Romero as the Joker from the Batman TV show of the 60's and I think early 70's. When I was a kid that was already an "old" show, but still on TV. Yeap, the costume and makeups look hilarious nowadays. Google for "Batman surfing" youtube video....that gives you an idea on how bizarre that show was...I think some 60's psychedelic influences there...

I'm not offended. I found it hilarious. They've done worse than this, especially with Christians and such. Besides, in a lot of cultures 'dark' means even. Whatever. I was there for the action. Hurray, kill, kill, kill!
