Before Linda?

I just watched the movie and I have two question that I hope do not violate forum rules.

I'm 52 so I have a fairly vague understanding of who Linda Lovelace was outside of what I gleaned from my teenage years.

1) I searched and found (quite easily) a clip from DT. I noticed that Linda was shaven. All the pron I remember from my teen years had women that were unshaven. Was this more common than I remember or was Linda doing something different? I thought shaving was a relatively new trend.

2) Linda's trademark talent appeared to shock the producers of the film. Was this really a new approach to what she was doing? Not being a porn historian lol, I find it hard to believe that this talent was something that had never been seen/done before.
