A Brazilian about Senna.

Several times I got myself rewinding the crash part on the movie and wishing him to make the turn. Senna made a whole country believe that magic and dreaming was possible if you really believe and fight for it.

He was a boy/man/wise all at the same time. He was intense and the best thing that ever hapenned to f1 because he was atracting attention to the sport, the f1 became F1 after him, it became widely known even being invaded by politics and backstage scum. He was fighting for his dream to be the GOAT but he was bashed and diminished by the ones afraid of his willling to change things. Everyone is afraid of change and you can see it in their eyes, they couldn't understand Senna.

After years of struggle you can see his progress when during a meeting, same footage as shown before, he get all the supporters for his idea who is to protect the racers and he raises his own hands against his cause, as a child who notice how obvious was the matter when before he was raging about the subject of the clean/dirty segment of the track at Suzuka and how Proust was silent since he was being "greased" to win the race.

About Proust, he was his opposite as a magnet has its two poles. Proust was cold and a killer in the tracks. He was there to get what he deserved until Sennas rising to take what he tought it was not from Proust anymore. Every Senna needs his Proust, without Proust, not trying to offend, he would be another Schumacher whos only concern is to beat himself.
Senna was colder, as himself once said: "I saw the track as a tunnel and I could only go." over the curves and his opponents he was dangerous, sure he was! He was not kidding when he said bashing Stewart that he was a RACE DRIVER and by that to not go for a gap was giving it up as one. Damn he was right! Can you remember of his first race at Mclaren when he was first, but still trying to go faster than he could until crash? You can think he was a moron but he always did this when karting so he started to changed in F1. And he blamed only himself that day.

Besides his personal life, even with some paparazzi stuff going on, most of Brazilians think it was the most honest possible comparing to other stars that we have today, because he was inspiring a whole country to look over your challanges and to always go beyond the limits. A country which had nothing before besides hope, lost hope that day.

Senna it's not the GOAT, he always had the best opponents and they were always excellent drivers like Piquet, Proust and Mansell, plus they played so dirty that he had to learn how to do it aswell. Piquet is still jealous of some of Sennas popularity in Brazil since he has the same number of Championships but not the same recognizement. He talked about it publicly many times and you can see him going against Senna in the movie footage. We have also Emerson Fittipaldi 2 times champion, but he already stated that Senna was the best and when asked about Senna he's all about smiling. They're all Brazilians, and Senna knew that Piquet was jealous but this is to be a race driver.

As a Brazilian, Senna don't need an Oscar or anything. He has this people that would sit all sundays in front of the TV with their respective families to watch and catch a glimpse of what it means to WIN. And if by any means someday my son ask me whats the best driver I'll tell him that I don't know, but I'll tell him who was Senna. Nowadays I'm used to say that after him, anyone can be a champion, just because he is not there.
