I thought the same thing, not taking anything away from Loeb, that there's less variety of manufacturers.
I don't follow WRC that closely but there does seem to alot of debate whenever the subject of the greatest driver arises. It seems to be a similar situation to F1 in so much as the guy who's won the most isn't necessarily considered the best.
Still, 8 in a row is still great achievement.
That "half assed Ford team" is currently the Rally team with the longest history of competition as well has holds second place for most rally wins. Show a bit of respect, at least they still compete.
But I do agree, I've been a fan of rally since the Group B era. I miss all the factory teams.
