Any confirmation of the rumour for a live action biopic starring James Franco? Fantastic film, I couldn't help but thinking I was watching him the whole movie.

i dont see franco as being able to pull off the seriousness that ayrton always displayed. franco did well in 127, but i always see him as this stoner guy

Back in the 1990's Antonio Banderas was attached, for quite some time, to a Senna biopic that never really got made. And honestly, I don't think it's necessary. This doc does him justice.

I agree, all I could think was, man James Franco could play Senna and probably win a Oscar Nomination. "Senna" , I don't event like car racing and I found the film so intriguing. I couldnt help but think their was some girlfriend back story not being told that could be done to make a really good biopic.

If they did a biopic it should star brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro.

He announced in May last year they were having talks about developing a script.

No news since then so hopefully it doesnt go into development hell.
