Senna's Spirituality

I'm an atheist and generally can't abide by ludicrous religious dogma, but I found myself unexpectedly touched my Senna's brand of spirituality. To him it was a contemplative, introspective exercise...needless to say we don't need the nonsense of the Bible to practice that but if everyone practiced religion as Senna did(at least as depicted in this film) it certainly wouldn't be as much of a malignancy as it now is

Jordan: i agree, i think its one of the strongest points of this film

Agreed. Senna was a spiritual man but not a church guy. Same here for me, like himself I was baptized as a roman catholic but never really cared about the church itself.

Believing in God is all that matters. You dont need to attach yourself to religious dogmas.

Be very careful of the god that you believe in!Well you would be wrong if you thought there is just one god."You don't need to attach yourself to religious dogmas".Absolutely!
The majority of people follow the Astral god which if you and everyone were to read the book "One Light" Author Jon Whistler and Published by Light Pulsations the World would very quickly ascend to the forth dimension and beyond and be rid of the Astral influence.

If you recall, Senna not only opened the Bible and read passages prior to driving, he also describes oneness with God while driving. Only the fervent, ideologue cynic would deny the sincerity of that testimony. Truly a great film and testimony to the power of faith.

Oneness with god while racing? How silly is that...

reply

Well JordanRyanBarry I too can't stand atheist dogma so whether you like it or not THERE IS.Just read the book "One Light" Author Jon Whistler and Published by Light Pulsations and you WILL be educated!!!

I agree. Obviously the reason its so poignant is because he's not a simple minded peon just being told what to think but instead actually derives some wisdom and humanity from the scriptures. The minority of people who actually approach religion like Senna actually demonstrate how beautiful it can be, even if it is still an enormous load of wank.

Its one of the things that's lost in filmmaking nowadays... the sense of the spiritual... as if filmmakers are blind to its role in the human condition...
