Brody is too much of a piss poor leading man for the part.

One of the reasons why this is a inferior film to the first film is because Adrien Brody is a piss poor bargain basement direct to DVD actor! the state of his career the seven years since the film proves me right. The fact that the Producers didn't even want him for the part in the first place and he suggested himself shows the ego of the guy. I know once he was cast they wouldn't be a direct sequel to this film because it wouldn't be that successful. Brody is too... what they would call in the 70's, an alternative leading man, which means an actor that doesn't have movie star good looks or toughness.

Brody a solid character actor but don't expect huge box office returns if he is in the lead role or God forbid another action tough guy role! which is why you don't see him in major roles anymore, no major studio would risk money on a guy that box office poison.

Oh and another thing is Predators also ruined the Director's career! Nimrod hasn't directed a major feature film since and now works in television.
