This movie has quite a few flaws but its beautifully done with good pacing, action. Effects and the best gargoyles ever put in screen. Flying anyway. People today have lost the ability to enjoy some movies for what they are. Some like the Fast Furious movies are pure trash but this was fun and fast. Too bad.
shareMost of this movie doesn't make any sense. Why the hell is Adam (Frankenstein) trying to save the world? Why does he even care for humans? It's not like he'll be remembered for his heroic effort to fight against the demons. I mean......what has that Demon vs Gargoyle war has got anything to do with him? He's neither one of them....

Why is he trying to save the world?As a matter of self-preservation.Why does he care for humans?He didn`t initially,resenting them for his creation and treatment but over time as he grew to care for Dr. Terra Wade he found compassion for them.What has the Demon vs. Gargoyle war to do with him?The demons are trying to possess him,the Gargoyles initially shelter him and Gideon tries to destroy him.
shareHe doesn't want an army of his kind out there because he knows how vulnerable he is to possession. That's motivation enough.
shareAnd then of course he knows about souls. He can never be human (which he wants) unless he has a soul. Perhaps redemption is the road to attaining one.

Hugely underrated. I was surprised by how much of it actually worked vs how much fell on the floor and laid there. Not a perfect movie, but far better than expected. :)
