where do the demons come from?

there seems to be an abundance of demons (unlimited supply?) but only a handful of gargoyles (presumably all residing at that HQ) - how are they able to wage a never-ending war against the demons with so limited numbers?

reply

They all come from Hell. It seems like they get to start on Earth but once they are killed on Earth they are trapped there unless they can possess a soulless body. They seem to be easy to kill but the Gargoyles don't seem to get new troops.

I wonder if the demons are humans that give up their soul for earthly rewards.

interesting stuff, thanks both of you.

It was explained. When Lucifer fell from heaven into hell he unleashed 666 legions of demons upon earth. Now, a Legion is a unit of troops consisting from 3000 to 6000 soldiers. This would mean that on average the amount of demons released would be 2.997.000. Thats almost 3 million demons, and im sure plenty of them hangs around their prince just like there are many people there protecting presidents.

exactly all though the bible say she took 1 third of the angels thats a lot of angels

the bible says there are atleast 7 guardian angels per human that means there are billions of billions of guardian angels and that doesn't count the angels that never leave heaven

Is it? how many angels do we have?

While the Scriptures give no definite figures, we are told that the number of angels is very great (Daniel 7:10; Matthew 26:53; Hebrews 12:22).

It appears that all angels were created at one time. No new angels are being added to the number. Angels are not subject to death or any form of extinction; therefore they do not decrease in number.

If we assume your 7 angels per person, at the time of creation of angels its entirely possible that there may as well be more demons than angels.
