Screenplay is abysmal.

Few examples:

"Don't fight in public it brings to much attention."

Well this clearly failed. Especially the first big battle in front of the cathedral. And the whole sinkhole at the end.

"Hide the log because Naberius will use it to revive the dead."

Leonore actually said this. Why was she surprised when Adam revealed Naberius plan to her?

"We should hide they will be coming for us."

Right after that line Adam falls asleep in that apartment.

15000 Joule needed to revive the dead

Really? This was the only thing missing in reviving the dead? This annoyed me the most.

The lack of people.

I don't know in what city it was but the streets were dead empty. Except for the part at the club.

What happened to the Emergency services?

Whole buildings get teared down and there are no police, fireman or paramedics in sight.

Not knowing the secret hideout is half a block away.

What is up with this? Demons and Gargoyles are fighting a war that is lasting centuries and they never knew that the demon hideout was just a 3 minute walk away?

I could be nitpicking more about how the hideout got all that power from but that is just to much. I know the quotes aren't perfect but that was because I was face palming for half of the movie. Also ignore my English grammar it is not my first language.

The early preproduction called the city Darkhaven if you can believe that. And the original premise was very, very different.

Way back when this project started the original premise was that the Frankenstein Monster was living as a private investigator. The Supernatural was real and living among us and even Count Dracula was around as a crime boss. The original designs for the Frankenstein Monster were terrible (as was his alias) but they polished it up a bit and then scrapped the bulk of it to make it more like Underworld...

Did you also notice the unfortunate setup for a sequel... The bit where the demons scientist from the basement escapes from the hideout with the USB download of how to animate the dead.
I'm hoping since they realised it was a flop before release that they don't use the opertunity for another.

I was willing to forgive I,F of its faults and just enjoy the ride (and I did for the most part) but that's the one that made me shake my head out loud. Biggest plot hole WTF in the history of ever. :)

@OP:

1. The movie as a whole was a hole.
2. There were times that I literally shook my head at the horrendous screenplay. I'd be thinking: "Did so-and-so REALLY just say that?!!!"
3. I can't help it -- I admit it - I love watching Yvonne Strahovski on screen. But even she can't save this hot mess.
