I love Titus Welliver and I love Bosch! But this show is just too white. We can't have white patriarch on TV in 2022. I would love a negro Bosch. Black as night. Replace Titus Welliver, cast a negro Bosch.

shareThey made a new character, detective Raymond Griggs, because Netflix doesn't have the rights to Bosch, like Amazon used Money Chandler instead of Haller in the Bosch series. Funny enough, this guy resembles the Harry Bosch from the books more than Titus (although Titus is amazing).

shareYes, Luther's character is probably Afro-Caribbean. Not sure though, because I cannot recall whether or not Luther ever mentions his parents or his ancestors' nationalities.
If you like amazing detective shows, "Luther" is really something else! Loved it way back years ago when it came on the scene.
But as for casting, I'm in the minority probably that without Alice...there is NO Luther. ha It's just not the same show without the whole Alice dynamic! Frick and Frack of crims. Love 'em. /
