I did and I was not alive during the 70's but I was wondering did we call it POP back then too? Cause they call it soda in the movie and my dad and i thought it was weird that they are supposed to be from Cleveland but they call it soda when I know for sure we don't even mention that word.
shareI'm from Cleveland and from the same time period (born in the 60s, lived there until the mid 70s, still have a bunch of relatives there and elsewhere in Ohio, so I visit often enough). The people I knew always called it "pop" in Cleveland, but that's not to say that other people in Cleveland didn't call it "soda"--I certainly didn't know everyone in the entire metro area, haha.
I didn't notice this in the film, because I never use "pop" now . . . but after Cleveland, I lived in South Florida (I remember my me and my sister as kids there thinking that "soda" was weird at first, but that wore off fast), now I'm in New York City, and I've traveled all over the world.
