Is it true that this guy killed 4 Mafia hitmen before they got to him?
Anybody know something about that?

I believe that AT LEAST 8 have been verified.
Had New York not come to the rescue, all of organized crime in Northeast Ohio would have been consolidated under his (and Nardi's) control.
"...if that was off, I'd be whoopin' your ass up and down this street." ~ an irate Tarantino
Had Licavoli gone to New York sooner, Nardi and Danny wouldn't of gotten as far as they did.
Now go home and get yer fuccin' shinebox.
I love this movie because it's the only gangster movie where you see the Italian mobsters scared and having their asses served to them by one man.Or two.

I thought that it was pretty much a draw, until the guy from LA got involved. He did hold his own though.
In NY, the Gambinos killed someone connected to the Colombians by mistake, and they were scared to death. The Gambinos were forced to kill the guy who killed the guy connected to the Colombians, and leave his body out in public to prevent the Columbians going to NY and wreaking havoc on the Gambinos.

Goldshines a fackin retard! His story is all wrong.
A Jew by the name of Chris Rosenberg or some chit who is connected to Roy Demeo who is a Gambino mobster set up a buy with Cuban drug dealers. He stole the drugs and killed the 2 people he was to meet. The Cuban drug dealer wanted just wanted Chris to be killed to settle the beef. They had Cuban hit men ready to go to NY and go to war if need be. The Gambinos ordered DeMeo to kill Chris not because they're afraid of Cuban drug lords, but because Chris is a nobody and acted alone on his robbery. So to squash the beef, they had him killed. That's business, smart business. Why go to war for some Jew douche that has nothing to do with the Gambinos.
was that back in the seventies, in the time frame of the danny greene story?
or was it later....
