it's so dumb to think they can get away and not get killed. why did they even go down that road?

did they think somehow they could be smarter, so fate wouldn't get them?

i do not understand living the way these gangsters lived

For the few that do get killed, there are probably 100 times as many that don't so I would think that's why.

They wanted to be gangsters. They liked being gangsters. They knew the risks and they accepted the risks. The per cent that actually got killed was probably pretty small.

And it beats working at McDonalds.
