Joanna was a major B**** who wasn't sorry!

She gave Marni a necklace with "Moo" on it.

She could have given her a diamond from Tiffany's but that necklace was horrible. she didn't even put it in a box and hide it from people.

She only apologised when Marni got the better of her at the meal and when she thought the wedding was off.

It would have been a better ending if Marni's brother found out what Joanna was like and then broke up with her.

It's typical of people like Joanna to say to Marni "That was high school" as if oh it was years ago why make a big deal about it now.

I agree. Apart from the necklace saying ''Moo'', it was an ugly one too, as if Joanna had it there the whole time and was just waiting for the moment.

I think they should have left it more realistic by keeping Joanna as the mean girl till the end that doesn't apologizes, not even when being forced to. At least, that would be she was sincere enough to not say ''sorry' when it's not coming from her. You can't be suddenly sorry if you just mistreat someone just the day before. And obviously you can't be sorry if the person you mistreated in the past has to even remind you of it and say ''I wanted a real heartfelt apology and I deserve one''. They shouldn't even have to remind you at all.

Honestly, I'd rather get no apology at all than go through that fiasco to get a faked ''I'm sorry I was caught, now will you shut up'' apology I had to force out of them, in which that's even worse than a remorseless person.

She was definitely an unlikeable character. She never changed and it was obvious. She made everything about her, she never apologized and tried to fight Marni when marni showed her up. Joanna was a bitch. I hated the ending. Should dumped her ass.

Yeah, it was a total waste of time. A more realistic ending would be Will dumping her for good (esp after seeing how Joanna who is now grown woman and not a child anymore got physical by throwing food at his sister when she couldn't argue back in word...that's a nut case right that) and Marni not feeling one bit sorry about it.

I think the whole debacle at the rehearsal dinner forced Joanna to confront her past head-on and see how cruel she truly was. At the beginning of the movie, she honestly thought that they could just pretend it never happened and start fresh, which isn't realistic at all, but I can see how some former bullies might have that kind of reasoning.

I think Marni would have been okay with it all (and may not have even felt the need to tell the family any dirty details) if Joanna pulled her aside privately, acknowledged the past and apologized. But Joanna clearly didn't want to do that--she just wanted to wipe the slate clean and stuff it all away. Then, when Marni started getting all passive aggressive, that's when Joanna's claws came out again.

It's a classic situation where a little communication would have gone a long way...but then again, we wouldn't have had a movie otherwise. The whole point here is that humans are flawed, and we tend to handle uncomfortable situations poorly when there's a way to make it easier all around.
