The cheese in this movie was unbearable. Not only was it not cute or romantic, it was cliche and vomit inducing.

Indeed it was and totally unrealistic. It's not a sincere apology if you had to keep reminding your former HS bully to apologize and they only apologize when getting caught in the lies, you insisting so much and seeing their partner is about to break up. If the bully was truly sorry, it would have been coming from them on their own, without you having to remind them. Joanna was never sorry and in fact, she was happy about what she did.
I'm willing to bet Joanna deep inside would want to still get back at Marni for the wedding reception mess thing because she hated her till nearly the ending and the Moo necklace was sooo ugly.
In addition, Joanna even had the nerve to invite all the girls who also bullied Marni and never made her feel comfortable...not even an spa invitation with just the two of them at least.
