What is really wrong with this film.

Like others I found Joanna absolutely disgusting and the real ending would be for him not to get married to him and it to be realistic enough for the Brother to have introduced Joanna well before the wedding, even before in conversation - if the family was so close.

But, I see what they were trying to do. They wanted it to be a forgive and forget story, for family's sake and missed this on so many levels.

Firstly Joanna is just far too terrible and Will couldn't have ever got together with a girl like this.

Secondly, the actress playing Joanna is not good. She had a part to play regarding redemption but never even went that way at all.

Thirdly, Marnie telling Will that Joanna is ok, is weird because she's not ok. Joanna was still on Marnie's case the day before and only changed slightly. They still let a girl who tormented a family member into the house.

Makes no sense.

It has its moments and is pretty decent but I think, ultimately, the girl playing Joanna is the problem. Just not good for the part. She was obviously still a terrible person and they had her jumping from one personality to another. Made no sense.
