Well I'm not blonde, blue eyed, or fair but I'm from SE Asia but I find it believable. There are a lot of girls or even guys who may be attractive but maybe are socially awkward or reserved or simply different from others on some level. And yes they do get bullied. I was bullied a lot in school but only my mom sympathized over it because she knew what I went through. But my friends don't get it nor do they realize how bad it was because they have this image of who I am based on how I look. You should watch the film Malena, I could almost relate to that film. But thank God it never went that far.
Both Sela Ward and Charlie Hunnam were bullied in school and they never forgot it.
