Disappointing and not much rewatchability factor....

....for me anyway. The trailer made this movie look much better than it ended up being, unfortunately. I love Christian Bale and was hoping this movie would be just as good as The Prestige. That it definitely is not. It's basically a police procedural set in the 19th century and is pretty much predictable. Up until the ridiculously unbelievable twis. I think it would have been better had it just ended with the predictable storyline. Kind of boring that it was so predictable, but at least more believable than what we got in the last 20 minutes. And you would think that Christian Bale would have been the best character in the movie. Not that he did a bad job. His character is just very level-headed and soft-spoken throughout most, not all, but most of the movie. Who'd have thought that the most entertaining character in the movie would have been the Poe character.
