Spoiler question...

- How did they die?
- What did the editing room scene show except final editing?
- who was filming in NYC?

I think the guy that was "killed" first was actually responsible for it all. Then after he successfully killed them he went back to NYC to find subjects for the next film.

Hell, we don't even know if they're dead, let alone how they died. There's a missing persons report (from the start end the end).
Editing room scene showed zero and went to static.
This is one of the top 3 stupidest found footage movies I've ever watched. Ten minutes of post-credits scenes that amount to exactly zero and give us no new information, and are not even interesting. Sloppy, lazy, no redeeming qualities.

Everything that you see, I owe to spaghetti.

He had a partner? The idea that one of the victims was actually one of the killers occurred to me, too. How would the killer have known where they were going? Unless he happened to be a native of that part of Ulster County, how would have known how to follow them to house without being seen? If one of the victims was in on it, he could have passed the info on to the other guy, who could have scouted the area first. There's also the fact that we don't see Leo or Mark killed; we just hear them screaming. Miriam also seems to disappear, although she was so weak and terrified it seems unlikely she was part of the plot.

I'm not saying this is definitely what happened, but does make more logical some of the things that are otherwise mysterious.
