Films like this are ideal for having on while doing something else. If I have it on DVD, then I'll play it on the PC and split the screen, with Minecraft or something on the other side. If it's on the tv, I'll have the old pc running, or the tablet, browsing the web or playing something simple.
Half-watching this while distracted is ideal, and I recommend it. It's perfect for stuff like this, in which nothing much happens, or at least happens slowly...you can listen while you get on with something else, and when things are getting good, you can hand your attention over to it.
In that context, this was a great little film. About as predictable as lost-footage-stalker movies are, with a suitably idiotic bunch who arguably deserved their fate (it prevents them from reproducing, after all) and a semi-paranormal stalker, who manages to lurk unseen and always be in the right place at the right time.
Nothing new, nothing outstanding, but a competent enough product in its own right, as if the makers had very carefully produced it according to some paint-by-numbers rulebook of scripting and filmmaking. Their next stop - TV movies!
Having said that - if I'd just sat and **watched** this inane drivel...I'd be pissed.
