Oakes was pretty great, movie was just okay.

He should have gotten top billing over Dochovny... But, Hollywood's gotta trample on the young folks, as always... :-s

The story, I felt was a bit clunky at times, but a quick look says the writer/director is quite new (Only has a few credits going back 8 years)... But yeah... Oakes Fegley carried this movie. Had there not been a decent young actor in the role, I probably would have stopped watching after 15 minutes. Duchovny's kind of a bore now that he's not "the x-files guy" :-P... And even then... It was like a soap opera with aliens. :-P

I went into this movie with no great hopes... I actually put off watching it for a while, since I really had no idea if it was worth the investment... Oakes had me crying by the end of the movie.

Overall, the movie itself was 3 stars, but had a less capable actor than Mr. Fegley took the role, I probably would have given it 2 stars. Had DUCHOVNY not been such a meh actor as well, the movie probably would have gotten 4 stars out of me.

Well worth the watch, though. :-)
