Kathy was basically over the show season 5. She blew it. She had a chance to be an interesting housewife but didn't want to be. Giving her 3 seasons was more then generous. She was basically a spin off within the show.
Then when asked about Richie she claimed he was not a pig. I guess all the viewers are psychotic or something.
I agree with you, giving her more than 1 season was generous. She had every opportunity to be interesting and each season she became more of a bore. At the reunion shows she barely spoke, and when she did speak up the couple times it was so out of place (for her reasons to speak). I remember when the husbands were sitting behind the wives, and it was the reunion where everyone was attacking Teresa, and she got on her knees and thanked God, and Kathy called Teresa's father a coward (after Tre called their father absent and didnt do anything for them --- yet she cant get over what Kathy has said??? hypocrite anyway...) and Rosie was going to kill her -- yeah that reunion. I have a feeling Richie was tapping Kathy to speak up and say something, because she was quiet and pretty irrelevant. It just seemed like Richie would had nudged her to speak up about something. So Kathy was picking on her cousin along with everyone else, and whatever she said it made Teresa explode bc it was so out of the blue. And that's when Teresa got up and went to the other couch.
Rosie was way more entertaining that Kathy. I felt like Kathy was somewhat fake. Her 1st season on when she saw her daughter off to Prom and she tells Richie "This is what fulfills me. This is what I love about my life. This gives me purpose" ... sounded sooooo rehearsed and forced. Not saying she's not a good mom or loving. But it was like she was always putting on an act. And the day when she was getting ready for the Dylan's Candybar event, and Richi dropped her cards and she yelled, THAT was the real Kathy. Snappy, yelling, irritable.
Richie is probably one of the reasons she isnt a housewife either. He instigates, and causes conflicts. He didnt help his wife with Teresa and family drama, he adde more fuel to the fire.

Apparently another reason as to why (and maybe the main reason) she isn't a housewife anymore is because of Disgusting Richie. He strikes yet again. Richie called Andy Cohen a "f*ggot" which ultimately got Kathy kicked off the Real Housewives and replaced with Siggy and Delores. Richie tried to beg for her job back, but Andy wasn't having it. I believe Andy wrote about it in his book.

Interesting regarding Richie. Juicy Joe called Andy that on the show. Andy asked Teresa about it on the reunion and she gave some lame answer. Next thing you know she has top billing.
