I'm not one of those people who complains about things being predictable. In fact, I'm usually rubbish at guessing what's going to happen. However, it was obvious to me that Johns was going to go back for Riddick. Anyone else guess that would happen?
shareOf course if Johns didn't come back and Riddick died, the franchise would be over. So it was expected that Riddick would live. It seemed highly unlikely that Riddick would have survived that ending scenario, but he is Riddick! I read they might do another Riddick movie someday! I hope so!

shareThis is the third movie out of the four they supposedly have already planned and written. From that perspective, Riddick would have to survive, not only so a fourth could be made in the first place but also so people would pay to see this one and thus regain the confidence in the series that Chronicles pissed all over.
