Was Boris the animal evil or misunderstood?

I mean he did what he did for his species' survival. Was he evil or misunderstood?

reply

he wasnt Merican' so he had to go.

reply

That does not answer my question.

reply

it means yes he was the enemy

reply

Kind of misunderstood but more evil.

reply

Why do you think he was evil?

reply

His species was evil. I guess that's the way to look at it anyway. They have an all or nothing way of surviving.

reply

Ok. So was Boris evil? Yes or no?

reply

Well, his species were not evil because they had no other way of surviving but he was evil because he was supporting his species in the expense of lives in other planets. So yes he was evil and greedy. See my point?

reply

Ok. Why do you say he is more evil if he was kind of misunderstood?

He was an enemy. Why do you think they gave him a Russian name?

reply

He was evil because he was murderous, demonic & he wanted a takeover instead of assimilation.

reply

What do you mean by that? How could he assimilate? Also he was evil because he wanted his species survival in the expense of other planets. So he was also greedy. Do you agree?

reply

[deleted]

His species might not be evil but he was evil because he wanted his species to survive in the expense of other planets.

So, was Adolf Hitler evil?

reply

Of course Hitler was evil. Why do you ask?

reply

I guess there is lots of people who would be able to make a strong case about people misunderstanding him. If Boris was only misunderstood, why was Hitler evil?

reply

What do you mean? What is their similarity?

reply

What is the similarity between Boris and Hitler?

reply

Evil is relative. To Boris and his people, they are just beings who have a right to survive. Unfortunately, they are parasites who kill entire planets of other beings in the process of surviving. Therefore, to the other beings they are evil, or at least a threat that must be stopped.

They are equivalent to other fictional aliens that we consider evil because they kill humans, like the aliens in Independence Day or the Alien movies.

It's kind of like the animal kingdom in general. For example: We like lions because they are impressive and beautiful, but we also like the zebras that the lions kill to eat in order to survive, because they are also beautiful. We don't consider the lions evil, because they are just doing what they need to do to survive. However, when people are on the menu of some creature, then we fight back, whether we consider them "evil" or not; we try to stop them from hurting us.

You are right. I think that Serleena from MIB2 was far more evil than Boris. What do you think?

reply

Serleena seemed to want to destroy Zartha, and she killed beings in the process of trying to find the "light." We don't know exactly what her motivations were, but she seemed full of spite and hate. Presumably she wanted to do evil, but didn't have to do evil to survive. Therefore, if she was doing evil by choice, then I would consider her more evil than Boris.
