Dude, it was all josh brolin, that guy is mad expensive, like 900,000$ per scene used in the movie.

Well the movie is fx heavy and being a period peace means additional costs to dress the sets. Also, paychecks for the actors. Will Smith and Jones get paid a crap ton.

I don't normally take any notice of budget numbers when on IMDB but that figure just jumped off the page when I opened it up.

Lots of cool aliens and gear that you would have to watch the movie multiple times to really appreciate.

Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin each would have demanded around $15 million or more thats around $40 million or more right there.
