Griffin new much about J's time-travel science

Griffin knew a lot about J's time-traveling. He knew "where there is death there will always be death." He knew K would not remember J's presence in 1969, that there would be a "reset" as soon as Boris's arm was shot off.

Also, did he time-travel to the future, to the diner scene at the end, or did he just survive without aging or changing his outfit? K saw him there and did not seem to remember or recognize him. If Griffin were an ongoing presence at HQ, K would have recognized him. In 1969, we only saw Griffin viewing different futures at the ball park, but not entering them, so time-travel would be a separate thing.

I wonder if Obadiah Price somehow got information from Griffin that helped him build the time-travel device. Griffin knew how to make the ArcNet that saves the planet, and he knows all about time-travel. So, maybe it was actually Griffin who had the TT devices, and Obadiah stole them, although O said that he figured out how to do time-travel. Maybe Obadiah lied and claimed he invented them. (Do we really know what's canon here?)
