Jim's Dad

one of the reasons the original AP trilogy was awesome was the dorkiness of Jim's Dad. one of the many reasons the "sequels" (and i use that term lightly) sucked is that he acts completly out of character in them. dont get me wrong i like Eugene Levy and his character and at least they make an attempt to establish continuity no matter how bad they get but if hes gonna show up dont totally change the character

im really hopin we get one more AP theatrical sequel with the original cast. it would make up for this crap weve had shoved down our throats since American Wedding

Not only changed his character - it's just too much to believe, given his dorkiness, that he'd have started off the Naked Mile and the Book of Love. If he'd done so with the latter, you'd have thought he'd have let Jim know about it in the first one.

I get that they had to work him into this movie somehow but I'm sure there was a better way than that. The cameos by Dusin Diamond and C Thomas Howell were a nice touch though
