he was fat and retarted. no girl ever woulda gone for him. this was a low point in the series, just when we were getting used to dwight and eric, we got some no-talent posed off as Stifler. i know that American Pie 4 is coming soon, which is gonna b the *beep* but seriously, until it came out, could we have @ least kept going on w/ either dwight, eric, or matt?

I was not too crazy about this Stifler in the movie to be honest with you but as they continue making more American Pie movies a character is going to get watered down because the original actors do not want to get type casted as Stifler.
The casting director, producer, or director of the film will be like, "Don't you have another American Pie movie to make?" or they might say, "We do not want to use him in our film because he is known as Stifler in American Pie movies." That is why you see different ones in the movies.
This last one was weak I hate to say it and not very good either.

I don't think it was the actor as much as the way the character was written in the script. He was more of a caricature than a fully thought out character

Well at least he has added a film to his resume to help him to find a better role to do the next time when he tries out for any other film or acting job.

I agree. Not seen Beta House yet but the other 2 "AP Presents...." movies have had a Stifler at the centre of the story, whereas this one was about a group of 3 guys who weren't even friends with Stifler, so for most of the movie, the Stifler character was just kinda there - caricature is a good description, the main purpose of him (and his jock friends) seemed to be to show guys behaving like arrogant jerks and being successful with the ladies, in contrast to the 3 protagonists.
