Season 7

I'd say yes, 7 is better than 6. Even if you don't see her, Nina is always present (she even made a voice cameo) and the heretics are pretty badass. There are some time jumps back and forth 3 years I thought were fun. And we have a Buffy like vampire slayer and a crossover with TO.

Of course, I liked 7 better than 6. Elena's character is literally still there in spirit with almost every Damon plot line, I could sum it up like this

Pros: Season 7 is more balanced than 6 IMO, The Heretics and Rayna are more well put and not TOO delved into, which some people complain about but we already fleshed a vampire family (The Originals).

We also A Vampire Huntress/Slayer who's pretty fun to watch, we have a father esq figure villain for The Salvatore Brothers that I found interesting.

S7 also messes with time and has these Flash Forwards, which worked for me and what really helped me stay interested in the Entire Season.

The Final arc of the season is the best part of it, it focuses on the 5 or 6 core characters we have. The final moments of the finale are almost chilling.


Cons: Damon and his constant reminding of Elena, it really doesn't help the fact that she's gone and I constantly being brought up.

The love interest stuff, wooh! Fair warning you're going to probably see LI foreshadowing that actually isn't there, and you're going to see stuff that shouldn't have been there, but it's all almost unexpected so, it's not terrible.

There's a Stefan-Damon struggle mid season that gets tiring, there's only episode that really delves into their psyches and it's far past time their beef should be over, however it's an awesome episode.


Another Pro: There's a Crossover! And it's actually really well done! It's probably the overall best part about the season.
