Something struck me
The line Damon said to Enzo, basically along the lines of "if the switch is flipped, you cant care, so she cant see it." I think it implies that Damon flipped the switch to protect Bonnie and Stefan from this person and this being bad isnt just another Damon spiral. Its deliberate and he is just selling the part.
