EPISODE SYNOPSIS FOR 8X05 "Coming Home Was a Mistake"

WHEN TRAGEDY STRIKES TOO CLOSE TO HOME — Spiraling down a dangerous path of self-destruction, Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) latest actions prove he may be beyond the point of return. Unwilling to give up on his brother, Stefan (Paul Wesley) is forced to make a gut-wrenching decision that threatens to change their relationship forever. Elsewhere, Bonnie (Kat Graham) gets advice from Caroline (Candice King) on how to break through to Enzo (Michael Malarkey), while Matt (Zach Roerig) attempts to decipher a mysterious box of messages that he’s received. Finally, after tragedy strikes close to home, Stefan and the others are forced to remember what matters most to them. Matt Davis also stars. James Thompson directed the episode written by Celine Geiger (#805). Original airdate 11/18/2016.

1. Little dissapointed were not past this Damon and Enzo thing stil.

2. Curious how Stefan can change their relationship forever, only thing sounding remotely close is threating Elena.

3. Enzo is STILL GETTING BROKEN THROUGH to? Come on.

4. I'm guessing Tyler dies, I've reading there's 3 major deaths this season, so I suppose it would start here with him.

5. Guessing Stefan and Caroline give Tyier a funeral.

2.I am curious too. The only thing Stefan can do to change their lives forever is to kill Damon, or Elena.

4. Yeah, Tyler could be the one that dies. But would they bring him back to kill him off that soon? Maybe Alaric (or Elena) are the one that dies? If they kill off Alaric then that would bring Jeremy,and Tyler back to town, and open the doors for Caroline to have total custody of the twins. Which would explain why she showed up in New Orleans Alaricless, with the twins looking for Klaus.

We're already past her her showing up in New Orleans, she went looking for him for protection from Rayna Cruz.

Alarics character is too big to kill in Ep 5 I think, but now that Steroline is in their new situation, I think they could kill Alaric off this season.

I think it'll go,

8x05- Tyler dies
8x09- Enzo dies
8x15- Bonnie or Alaric dies.

You think they might kill off half the whole cast. I think Enzo might die saving Bonnie. That or Bonnie might die saving Enzo.

I think 3 of those 4 are biting it, with a dark horse death in Damon.

I think that Tyler or Alaric will die.

I think it will be Tyler b/c Alaric seems VERY important to me (always has), but b/c of the knowledge he has and book smarts he maybe able to help w/this siren b!tch. Sorry I guess its me hoping I much rather Tyler than for Alaric to die, hasn't he died already? This show confuses me sometimes w/all the deaths/returns/death/returns, etc... I want Alaric to be alive and w/his children as well...
