Your official thoughts on 'Today Will Be Different'

8x02 SPOILERS

Wow, this was a good episode. I enjoyed it, not as much as last week though.

Sybil is hott, just want to get that out there.

I like these little Denzo murder hunts, refreshing.

I really like that Dark score they use for the Siren.

Are we really getting an Alaric triangle? Why?

Matt is really not that missed.

Georgie just isn't really anything, her Hell visit plot sucks tbh. BUT, I'm glad we're digging deeper, it looked like a freaking pitchfork she was holding towards the end, if so, may we see the Devil?

So, I guess Enzo wasn't romanticly infatuated with Sarah, which is kind of dissapointing. I mean they actually had development.

See, I REALLY wanted to be a shipper for a minute (well a delusional one) and say Bonnie was jealous of Caroline and Stefan, but unfortunately, this is just their weird Damon being jealous of Bonenzo stuff type of thing they always do. Poor me right.

So, I understand Sarah's griefs about Stefan, even though it was protection, it was more pre-determined. I don't like her Enzo defense though, he sought her out to destroy her, he's also a murderer like Stefan and Damon, and the only reason he gave up his plan was because Stefan's humanity was turned off.

I liked that Damon fought back, that's the S6 Damon I liked, do the right thing. Stefan saying "for Elena" every episode has gotten old fast.

Oh yeah, those Delena flashbacks, also old.

I'll say it, Bonnie's plan was half assed. But, it's not like she always gets to screw up.

Sarah's death was brutal, Stefan literally had to watch her die. Helpless.

As much as Malarkey and Graham knock their stuff out of the park, Bonenzo will always feel so unearned.

So, I still don't see Sybil's "grip" on Stefan, and why can't he and Enzo have dialogue?

Damon's move on Caroline was like dumb, couldn't she have dove through that light?

So is Damon in love with Sybil now?

I thought Stefan's "surprise" was going to be the kids' beds, which i thought was nice and a great Scene. But...
But...
But...

WHYYY did they have to do that? Seriously? A double wedding? Why? The proposal was awkward and just, why?

So, it's a 8/10 episode for me. I liked it's pacing a lot, Got things done quick and smooth. Hopefully
"You Decided I Was Worth Saving" is more fun though.

Oh, Sarah's death is ENZOS FAULT, it's his fault he sought her out in the first place.

I liked the episode, too. Steroline was great, I even liked the Bonenzo dynamic. Damon attacking Caroline and Sarah's death were a shock, I actually thought Sarah would have been the "after tragedy strikes close to home" part in episode 5.

Not so good:
Sybil is no Katherine, Kai or Klaus.
The marriage proposal was lame, Stefan really has no game. Even the S5 non proposal and the S6 blue collar version were better.
Bonnie in Katherine's Maserati . I need to get a screencap of that.
I always liked Allison Scagliotti, so I'm team Georgie. She's funny
Poor Sarah, I like the actress on TVD and Supergirl better than on McGyver.

ETA: How many times are they forcing Elena-belongs-to-Damon-bc-he-saw-her-first down our throats. There are better moments like the Denver or Rain kiss or the dances.

Georgie dying and going to Hell and coming back is a major plot hole. It has been said a dozen times that once you go to Peace/Heaven or Oblivion/Hell, you can not return. THats why Henrik is not able to return, same with Jo, Liz, Jenna, Katherine, Kai, Mikael. If you didn't go to the Other Side, Prison World, Ancestral Plane or Phoenix Stone, you couldn't come back. There is no return from the afterlife of peace or oblivion. Jeremy at the end of season two was resurrected before his spirit had time to move on to the afterlife, he was in limbo not the afterlife.

So unless this Hell she supposedly went to is actually something else entirely, then anyone in the show that has ever died can just come back, no matter what. So who cares if Sarah's dead, she'll return. Go ahead and kill Bonnie to wake Elena, she'll come back to. Liz can come back and go to Steroline wedding because death no longer means anything.

Sorry for rant. Just annoyed.

Georgie was in a car accident and was revived by EMTs. I get what you said about Jeremy dying and being in limbo. I agree she should have gone to limbo too. Georgie didn't die supernaturally and she wasn't revived supernaturally. She flat lined for a minute or so then was revived. Death doesn't mean anything on TVD, but not what happened to Georgie.

But she said she went to "Hell", and some think it's the same Hell that is known as Oblivion where Katherine, Vicki and many others got sucked into. The place that no one should be able to come back from.

We don't know what this "Hell" thing is right now. The only thing we know so far is that it's linked with the siren. So it can probably be just a manifestation, something the she wants people to believe is actual hell to own them.

Which would be worse - to live as a monster, or to die as a good man? 

Besides, this is a supernatural show before everything else. Are you really surprised that people come back from the dead all the time?

Pros
-I really like Sybil. She's hot, love the accent, and love the Siren lore.
-I love Georgie. I would definitely dig her with Alaric.
-I think they did Sarah's death pretty well? I'm upset she died though.
-Watching Sybil infiltrate Damon's mind was fun

Cons
-No more 'hot nanny'. She's so boring to me and I don't want her scenes with Alaric. Just stick to being the unseen help.

-It's like, they have something semi-good with Bonenzo. Two people who have chemistry, have each other, and are fighting for each other. But the way they direct their scenes are soo over the top, overdramatic, and cringe-worthy. As you said, it feels unearned. I would understand that sort of goodbye scene (we saw through Sybil's mindgame) for Delena but not for Bonenzo.

-Ohmygod Steroline. I can't even handle them touching anymore. That engagement was awful. Everything about it was wrong and unromantic. I can't stand it.

-Enough about Damon doing good things for Elena and Elena alone.
EDITED: Almost forgot the worst part: that awful flashback montage of Delena. I threw up a little when Elena said she'd 'never felt anything so real in her life'. Ugh. And also ENOUGH with that scene of Damon first meeting Elena. I hated that the they included some scene that was never canon to establish why Elena loves Damon more (bc he saw her what, a couple days before Stefan? Like, okay that enough to fall in love?) but now they keep hitting us over the head with this stupid scene. Why not use the founder's dance??

Also, what double wedding? Who else is getting married...

A rose is just a rose.

Stefan and Caroline, and if Nina returns for a full episode, Damon and Elena.

Sybil is sexy. I do question the decision of the showrunners to continue to introduce hot girls vs hot guys after Jeremy, Tyler and Kai left the show given the demographics of the viewers, but w/e, I am digging her.

I like the Denzo hunts too.

I didn't think I could dislike a TVD ship more than Delena, but Bonenzo is awful. I am sorry, I know there are people desperate to see Bonnie with someone, but this is totally unearned and ridiculous. It makes her look pathetic, obsessed with this man who has tormented her friends. It is an awful ship. I know people say Kat has chemistry with everyone, but I don't see it really. I think her acting talent is greatly exaggerated.

Hot nanny is useless, just like she was on Containment. Do not care about this character in the eleventh hour, don't need the show to spend time on her. Georgie is unpleasant to listen to, her voice grates, but I do like the hell storyline. It might be my favorite potential storyline they have had in awhile.

Sybil getting into the boys' heads is also interesting to me..

Bonnie being mad at Caroline is ridiculous. Bonnie needs to be done. This show has taken what could have been an amazing character and driven her into the ground. It is painful to watch how self righteous and hypocritical she has become.

Steroline...dug this ship at first but it is awful now. That proposal was so painful. Stefan always seems like he is settling for Caroline. When, in reality he has been a whiny bitch for like 100s of years. Caroline at least is smart and driven and could do a lot better. I do like Caroline as a mom though.

I am liking Damon more this season. When we take him away from interacting with the mains, he is much better to me.

Poor Sarah. I liked this actress, so I am sad to see her end like this.
