June Wedding!!!!!!

Suck it, haters!!!!

You suck it, in hell.

Lmao

I really need you to tell us your true feelings.

Such a bad proposal. After all the amazing romantic speeches they've had on this show and that was the best they could do? I swear the writers hate Steroline. They write them like day old bread

reply

๎† it was bad and I'm used to cut Stefan, i. e. the writing a huge slack.

Awful. It was so similar to the fake Stelena engagement that Marco planted in S5. Stefan didn't even propose with an original idea. It doesn't bode well for them to get engaged so early too. They've been back together for a few eps after Stefan ran off with Valerie for three years to come back and vervain/kidnap her

reply

I just wrote in another post that I liked the S5 non proposal better lol. And the S6 blue collar version.

Which one was the s5 non proposal? Who was it between...

A rose is just a rose.

It was a AU dream of Stefan and Elena as humans.

The writers far from hate Steroline, if anything they like it. Caroline Dries, however, is a completely different matter and I blame her for all the Steroline mess that happened last season. But I'm just going off in a tangent.

I disagree and I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I think they did it well. It was natural and casual, in a sense that it was almost as if it wasn't even needed. Of course Stefan loves Caroline, of course he wants to spend his eternal life with her, which was why Stefan was so coy and thought it obvious to even ask the question (and dare I say shy too). And the "like a friendship ring" line from Caroline made it even better because it's so them, and pretty much was a testament to how their relationship started.

Like Stefan said, they're pretty much family. Caroline and Stefan were never a glamorous and dramatic couple, like many tvd ships, which is why I think people find them "boring". They've never had to reinforce and declare their love with grand speeches and epiphanies in every single episode. And they probably never will, because that's just not the relationship they have.

So I though the proposal was fitting. Simple, casual, obvious--and natural. It didn't need a big speech, there doesn't even have to be a wedding. IMO.
But was it soon in the season? Yeah, but we pretty much saw this coming when the episode synopses were released weeks ago. And yeah, obviously sh!ts gonna hit the fan and there's gonna be slip ups, and whether it actually happens it yet to be seen (or spoiled lol).

reply

As much as I loved that, he could have done a better job, Caroline has high standards.
However giving us us an engagement so early in the season doesn't bode well. It will end like Alaric's or the Red Wedding.

I thought the same thing, that it won't end well considering how early it is but they could fool us though.

"Who lives, who dies, who tells your story"

reply

They're definitely gonna go through rough patches but they'll prevail. The fact that Stefan was building a room for the twins is a huge red flag that Alaric is dying this season (unfortunately coz I actually like him) and the twins are gonna stay with Caroline and Stefan, pretty much getting the family she always wanted.
And Damon is obviously dying on the finale, sacrificing for Stefan's happiness or whatever. It doesn't make sense to kill off Stefan when he is suddenly trying to rebuild a new life.

reply

...since when has this show done anything that makes sense lately?

reply

Um, since people weren't so bitter and cynical bc they didn't get every single thing they want from tvd? I don't know.

Hmm interesting thought.

to make it bitter-sweet. He gets married and then dies?

reply

I guess but idk if that is bitter sweet. For sure though, one brother is dying. I don't think they'd kill both. And I'll be damned if Stefan goes instead of Damon.

of course and that is what is probably going to make it bittersweet- his death after getting all happiness, to save his psycho brother.

We mustn't speak of the emotional horror that was the Red Wedding ever again.

*triggered*

Lol I'd actually prefer this than have Stefan be forced into this cringe worthy relationship for the rest of eternity, he deserves better.

Caroline is a twenty one years old. She's a vampire. She has the possibility of forever in front of her. Why the hell is she or Stefan in such a rush to get married? What's the point?
