...at the end of the show, some crazy *beep* goes down and Elena (after she wakes up) gets to decide between:

a) continuing with her life just the way it is

or

b) getting a do over. Going back to her high school days without ever meeting the Salvatore bros or getting involved in all the supernatural stuff.

I'm pretty sure that this won't happen but if it did, would you like it? And more importantly, if you were in Elena's place what would you choose?

Which would be worse - to live as a monster, or to die as a good man? 

I think they should find a way to wake Elena up without killing Bonnie (i don't even care if it would be a plot hole - the writers have never cared before, why start now?) And have Caroline take the cure instead of Damon because Damon decides he can't leave his brother. Then the brother's continue on while the rest live normal lives. Who knows? Maybe a miracle would happen and they all get cured.

I don't see Caroline wanting the cure since she's shown no interest in it. Yes, got information about the cure so Damon and Stefan can give it to Elena. If she wanted it badly she would have taken it when she had the chance in season 5 and 6.
