Does Damon have the werewolf gene?

Just seems like Damon's lack of impulse control, similarities with Tyler, and hateful vampire killing Dad make him a possible candidate for that. I have thought this since the Klaus, Mason eps. Damon's father hated him for his lack of control, Mikael hated Klaus for the same reasons. Klause's Dad was not his real Dad, maybe Guisseppie wasn't Damon's real Dad?
Also, Mason came to Damon from the other side to help Tyler, pack mentality?

Nope. If he did, he wouldn't have been able to become a vampire.

Which would be worse - to live as a monster, or to die as a good man? 

?? If he was a werewolf then he would have turned into one after the 1st time he killed someone. Do you know how werewolves work on this show?

Yes, Klaus's bio Dad was a werewolf, when Klaus was young he recklessly led his little brother to his death by taking his little bro to witness werewolves transformation, his brother was killed After that his Mother, a witch, cursed him so that he would never transform into a werewolf.
That's what made Klaus violent and aggressive.
The witch curse that stifled his natural werewolf side.
Yes, I think I know how werewolves work on this show.

YOu have given a reason to why Klaus is aggressive and violent. This is not the reason for ALL werewolves to be aggressive.
Werewolves are in general wild animals (as quoted by Klaus once). It is not because of the witches's curse on Klaus.

In this show Werewolf gene is passed from parent to child. When a person carrying a werewolf gene kills another human/witch (not a vampire. Not sure about another werewolf), the gene is triggered.
So any person who is not born to a werewolf cannot be a werewolf.

Damon lack of impulse control is because that is his personality trait. He was probably like that as a human, the trait just got intensified when he became a vampire.

Back in season 1, and two I once thought that one of the boys might have had the werewolf genes. I think it would have been interesting if one of them Did.

Me too, think it's true, guessing Damon has the W W gene based on what I've seen.
It would explain a lot of his behavior.
But.. being a ripper kind of sounds like a werewolf also, Stefan?!
Another "pass" for both?
Hmmmm, maybe, but......no

Why did the producers bring back Tyler only to have Damon kill him at the end of the last episode aired. Or maybe he didn't?
