Applesauce Penguin: Could that be a code word for Alaric's twins

Applesauce Penguin is the word that comes out of Damon mouth whenever he tries to tell Stefan what Sybil plans for him are.

When I hear the word "applesauce" the first thing I think of is children snack. So children is the first thing I think of. So I believe that Damon's project has something to do with Children. Who do we know on the that has children? ..... Alaric and Caroline's twins! In episode 8.01 someone tried to kill Jo and Liz. But we do not know who sent her, or why?

I think the girls is some how connected to the siren. I think that there is a possible chance that they are an asset to her, or a threat.

The girls are the last of the Gemini coven. So maybe it was the Gemini coven that locked up the siren in the first place,and maybe that is why that lady was sent to kill them.

We need Valerie to help sort everything out. I hope she comes back this season.

This is what I now think as well, especially with us not knowing why Virginia came after the twins. Makes sense. And they reacted to the fork like Sybil.

I think so too. Applesauce is definitely a kid's thing. Maybe Penguin is one of their favorite stuffed animals?

No, it was one of the girls associated to the armory that we saw last season. The one who was in the psychiatric hospital with Bonnie.

Interesting. The girl who was in the hospital with Bonnie never wanted the armory to be open. She also doesn't have her powers. They were giving her meds so she wouldn't be able to use her powers.So the question is why did she go after Jon and Liz? And what/or who cause her death when she was going to tell Caroline?

Totally could have been the Geminis! Since they tossed the Heretics and Kai in their prisons worlds and all... And we know Lucy was forced to do something with the vault that only Bennettes could (and that Virginia killed her to prevent her opening it). The Bennettes are tied to the Geminis. Of all those people, who is still around? Val. And the twins. -and Bonnie, once her magic comes back.

It IS possible the kids just freaked because it hit them harder because they syphoned the sheer force. Kind of like how the Gilbert Device took down Tyler and the mayor, even tho neither had triggered their curse or knew anything about it. AND it was *supposed* to only affect vampires.

That said, we do know Sybil will want something from the twins and that's why Virginia's crazy ass was after them. There's got to be a reason Val is still breathing, so we can expect some answers from her. She's also been a frequent point-person for exposition.

If you think about it, Damon knows that what Sybil want him to do is so wrong that he need to warn Stefan, yet he can't get the words out. So I think Sybil will target Stefan and have him go after Jon and Liz. Also I wonder why the Gemini coven thought to save the twins instead of saving themselves. Is it possible that as long as the twins are alive they can return? If you think about it it make sense. The Gemini coven leader has to be twins. They all die if their leader dies, so wouldn't they come back alive if their leader come back alive?

So once Kai died (turned) they all died, however they saved the twins. Valerie brought the twins back , so there is a possibility that the entire Gemini coven could return. So Sybil and whoever wants to get rid of the Gemini coven ,all they have to do is killed the twins.
