What are the chances of Damon and Elena end game?

Well..?

reply

I'd say pretty high

reply

99.7%, including the scenario where she doesn't wake up and Damon has to wait.
0.2%, One of the two lovebirds dies, something Ian is heavily promoting.
0.1%, Elena wakes up and Damon dumps her because he knows what's best for her.

Awww, look at you having a Delena fanvid at the ready!

reply

Because Damon hasn't already done that before!!

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

reply

It's going to happen.

I'm at about 99%, very close to 100 with the constant Elena flashbacks.

A rose is just a rose.

reply

Right. Nina gets paid everytime they use footage of her, her picture or her voice. We've seen Elena footage in all the S8 eps so far. They wouldn't be doing that if they weren't gearing up for her return and and most likely a DE endgame.

reply

Hope so! Can't think of an alternative ending that I would want.

We're all on our way out, act accordingly.

reply

Well, they could have Elena wake up at the hospital days after the original car accident with her parents, find out she's been in a coma, still lost her parents but everything else was just a dream.
And then the show ends with Stefan signing up at her school.

reply

Constant flashbacks are nothing more than a gimmick in place because Nina has been so impossible to get back. They've known from the start that she was 99.7% against anything more than the finale, and then they found out even getting her back for THAT was going to be a mega struggle.

None of this helped by Ian's anti-Delena and anti-Nina returning interviewS.

It ALL comes down to Nina and Ian at this point. He has been INTENSELY against ANY further Delenaing, which is why he didn't want her to come back At All. He knows that if Elena is revived, it makes zero sense for them not to end up together. Unless he's dead, but it would be insane for the showrunners to do that to Elena AGAIN. and I will HATE IT if they completely erase the brothers from her memory. Because if they do, then what about everyone else?? Granted, that's all tied up in what year she's revived, in terms of who's still around. But I think most all fans would agree that her experiences are all she's got, her memories sacred. I don't want to see her lose a thing. How lame would it be for a vampire show to go out with this human girl waking up to go off and be a doctor, have 2 kids, a dog and a picket fence, with some rando human?!?

The main reason Ian has been refusing to "Delena" is because he says he is DONE rewarding nasty little stans around the world, who think a man old enough to be many of their dad's, is their puppet. He's been SOOO committed to the show and to the fans, shlepping around the world to COUNTLESS cons...his anger and frustration is completely justified. He's warned them over and over and over to knock it off, quit attacking and threatening Nikki, quit writing "NIAN" on EVERYTHING (including serous activism related posts), quit worshiping Nina on Nikki's social media, ETC. He's pulled back Big Time from his own social media and disabled all comments on pics with Nik, for that same reason.

Because of all this, he's been forced to take sides. The hugest irony is that the Delena-obsessed fans stans are Completely responsible for driving the biggest wedge into his friendship with Nina, and ultimately for potentially never getting their endgame. One of his main issues with Nina (aside from leaving her own show, when Julie literally offered her the world and complete character/storyline choices, as well as having killed off Katherine to lessen her workload) is that she's allowed the hate. It's no secret that while she posts a ton, she doesn't interact with fans online. And doesn't really read comments. But she's well aware of what goes on in them and what's posted in crappy articles all over the web. It would have been so very easy at any time for her to tell her worshippers to just Cut It OUT. To tell them (again) how totally in the past Nian was and to stop attacking Ian's love life, and stop doing all that *beep* in her name. As well as to stop attacking one and other. But she really hasn't.

It's also no secret that Ian has been childish and annoying in too many interviews to count, overly pushing his happy husband status, talking *beep* about Delena and then saying how since Nina left, she should stay gone. That they don't need or partially want her back. To the point where other castmates have jumped in in her defense, like at comic con. I feel horrible for all the rest of them, her social media is RIFE with stans saying the show is *beep* without her and that they don't care about anything but Delena. How they must feel, after staying on and also shlepping to countless cons, when Nina herself didn't do ANY (other than mandatory and star-studded Comic Con). So all that said, if you were Nina, and you're all about your personal career and moving on, why on earth would you want to go back to where you're partially unwanted, your name's been smeared and there's potential drama??

Let's just hope that those two can squeeze into their big kid pants, and suck it up for their castmates, the creators, crew and the FANS. Not the stans, but the honest to god fans. Not saying they should revive Delena, but they should remain open to whatever storyline will best suite the end of this beloved era.

It's really not up to Ian at all. He's under contract and has to read the lines as written. He's the only one that has an issue with her returning bc Nina seems to be totally chill about everything (Ian and returning) They're both professionals and will do what's asked of them.
