Caroline dying in 8x05?

The synopsis states "Stefan and Others" suspiciously, that, along with Caroline helping Bonnie with Enzo (keeping her in the synopsis throws us off) plus "advice" sounds like she'll give Bonnie some grand speech about love, and that will be her final speech.

I don't think maybe Damon kills her, it's just too much for Damon to kill Caroline and still be saved by ANY of the group, even Stefan, I think Tyler dying could be a red herring. Plus, this could explain the early engagement.

It'd be a welcome bold move by the show IMO, if you're going for shock, go for it, Tyler isn't shock but dissapointment because he's hasn't been here, Caroline has, and she's THEE most connected to the group atm, to Stefan, Bonnie, Alaric, and Tyler and Matt both love her. She's honestly the most affective death this show can have right now.

What does YOU think killing Caroline off could/would do to the show, is it what you want? Who do you actually think is dying in Ep 5?

reply

I fear that, too. The writers are thinning the herd and they show Caroline mostly in a bliss due to the upcoming nuptials. That is suspicious.

I would be okay with it, everybody else died multiple times. As long as she comes back as usual. Maybe in Nola.

Her being one of the two female main characters makes me weary, but, she hasn't actually "died" yet, like Bonnie, Tyler, Stefan, Damon, Enzo, and Alaric.

I think her being the most "happy" out of the group, and the fact she doesn't have her actual own Storyline or motivation right now either boosts these chances as well, Stefan and Bonnie are after Damon and Enzo, Alarics trying to figure out hell, and Matt gets his own storyline in Ep 5. Caroline is babysitting the kids and being there for Stefan, Bonnie, and Ric. It's actually quite crazy how much this can add up.

reply

You guys think so? I just don't see Caroline dying, ever.

My ass may be dumb, but I ain't no dumbass...

reply

Lets see who it could be

Damon- No, as Delena is endgame
Stefan - obviously not
Bonnie - No because Nina isn't coming back YET
Matt- Literally comes back the episode before and he's still marked as main so i'm guessing no
Enzo - Would anyone really care besides Bonnie?
Caroline - Possibly, but I think she has more story with her kids etc.
Alaric - Oh, this could actually happen. Then Caroline/Stefan will have the twins (snore)

I dunno if Tyler will die, doesn't seem like a great way to kill a character that has been there from the beginning.

I don't want her to die, she is the only character left that I still like (also, Alaric, I guess). And I think she deserves her happy ending more than Elena does.

I could be down with it if the last 2 seasons had gone differently as I am generally ok with these types of deaths. But if it isn't going to be scorched earth or anything that I am probably going to find fulfilling, then I'd rather she live.

Candice posted a pic on set 4 weeks ago so she can't be dying in 8x05

reply

Well, there goes my theory lo.

UGH what the hell! I got SOOOOOOOOOOO happy for nothing! This sucks, I hate Julie.

If it's not Caroline, nor Tyler then maybe they will kill Elena off? (Since we can't be sure if Nina will return) If Damon kills Elena (Tyler was keeping the coffin) then Damon would have truly past the point of no return.

It is not Elena her coffin is not black like the one they used on set.If she will return will be on last episode for a scene or the full episode thats what Julie said in a interview 2 weeks ago they have to arrange schedule cause of promotion of her movie .

My bet is on Alaric he has not been on set lately.Zach filmed last week and Malarkey was yesterday filming with Kat

That would explain why Stefan has ready a room for the twins built in the Salvatore house

reply

But I thought Alaric was supposed to have a love interest?

I guess his death would mean Damon is past the point of no return, since Alaric is Damon's best friend next to Enzo. Sybil could be after the twins,so it would make sense to get rid of Alaric. Especially if he's looking for a way to kill Sybil.

I really don't feel like seeing Alaric die again, if anything, he's suffered so much that he shouldn't die this season.

reply

So far every character on the has died . But some characters only purpose is be killed for dramatic affect on another character, push the story forward. Those characters that they tend to kill are Alaric,Tyler and Jeremy. Since Jeremy is not here it's either Alaric ,or Tyler.

I feel Alaric was done justice the first time he died. It was probably my favorite death in the show. Idk why they'd bring him back just to kill him off before we can wrap him up.

The only thing happening in 8x05 are the twins being kidnapped. Which will be the cliffhanger for thanksgiving holiday.

After seeing tonight's ep, it seems likely that any one or number of them could end up dying, since we're headed into Hell. -where they will undoubtably end up returning after killing Cade, etc.

The problem with that in terms of what you're saying, is that Care would never go to Hell she'd find peace, and no one comes back from that. So unless they ALL die and live happily ever after in Peace, with Jenna, Lexi, Liz, etc., and we see what that's like, I highly doubt any good characters are gonna be senselessly killed.

We are too close to the end to need any grand plot advancements. Tyler dying still feels pointless if not a red herring, which tonight made it seem not to be. His only way of "surving" now is if we find him in Hell, but why would Ty end up there either? Granted, we have seen people go there for doing only one bad thing, and that's something they ALL have, so, it's possible. Yet dumb, because even tho this is fantasy, it's too far a stretch to think good people who do something bad once or twice --ESP AN ACCIDENT, like Georgie-- would land them in eternal damnation. It doesn't even follow the explanation we've just been given to justify Cade ruling down their. He was trying to undo EVIL, not take out and punish people who are living just lives and happen to have something in their past that they've already paid for emotionally and with consequences.

Of all the characters, Caroline seems a poor choice to kill. She's young, happy, good, a mom, career and future-oriented, important to friends and loved ones...there's next to No Way she's going out. It's like with The Cure...she was the one it made the absolute least sense for.

reply

Caroline's going to the good place? Lol for what exactly? Shes just chipper because her life nor her fiances is at risk. As i recall when she went on ahead and flipped that switch she murdered a lot of innocent people. Trust me, baby girl is going to be rommies with Kathrine in Hell.
