Yep.
If they wanted something TRULY novel and were thinking, "hey! Let's take this in a direction we've NEVER DONE to make a really unique new season!" they would have him volunteering at at a sick children's hospital or something, lol. I guess they went with, "Hey! Let's just rehash old stuff since the star is gone..."
Hot guys + dark subject matter + plenty of violence = watchable television.
