Vicky or Matt

Vicky is Matt's sister who was killed without a care in the world in season one.

Sometimes I think now that I'm rewatching season one if she stayed on as a vampire while Matt was killed in season one. He has literally contribute nothing the whole series. He's always just been there while other interesting characters have died.

I personally feel like she would've been a much more interesting Character to explore. One thing I did enjoy about her is she was the ONLY character not kissing Nina's character ass. She stood alone.

I wiii never forgive the writes for destroying her character in season three when she came back as a ghost. Totally out of character from season one Vicky.

It's mind blowing how Matt has barely mention her.

I disliked Vicky, honestly, I hated that they brought her back as some lame ghost later. The show already has a ton of vampires. What i like about Matt, he's the only one who's remained human. The show needs at least ONE person who has always been human. He's died a lot, of course, but he's never been supernatural. I hope he stays that way. He's the one who sticks up for the humans in the town.

Hot guys + dark subject matter + plenty of violence = watchable television.

I totally agree. I loved Vicki and Matt has been a big nothing. I thought the actress did a great job with her role as that type of girl (didn't we all know a few?). And I also liked that she didn't love Elena. It would have been more interesting to have a female human foil to Elena. Katherine and Rebecca were good at it, but as vampires it was always like we were supposed to root for Elena against them (even though many of us didn't). With Vicki, she was actually just an innocent person negatively impacted by Elena. I didn't like that they made her a bad ghost, either. I hope she gets some redemption this season.

The funny thing is that I don't even remember Vicky as particularly unfriendly or antagonistic to Elena. She was just this person that had her own baggage to deal with. Her substance abuse problem, her broken home, her divided parents, etc. She was a full-realized person who didn't automatically revolve around Elena Gilbert and after she left, the only person on the show who could claim that was maybe, Tyler Lockwood. Apart from these two, you could classify everyone on the show as either "For Elena" or "Against Elena" with no middle ground. SMH. Goes to show the level of emotional maturity of the writers/producers.

I liked Vicky, but she was just too much trouble. My heart still breaks when Matt comes back to an empty house, hoping she'd be there at the end of 1x07 (but, of course, she's dead).

Remember when she almost died 3 times in season one and Damon said you just won't die. I thought they were going that route the girl who won't die but of course she ended up dying.
