Any word on if Nina will actually return for the finale?

I think she should actually return for more than just the finale and I would love to see Katherine as well as Elena again. But it seems strange that they are that far into filming this season and still no word yet. I think a few weeks ago they had finished episode 8 and they have to map out the back half of the season. Considering that this season will only consist of 16 episodes, time is flying by and the end date is quickly approaching.

Maybe I missed the entertainment news cycle, but has anyone heard if she has indeed signed on?

Nothing has been officially confirmed but I'd bet my house she's coming back and for more than one episode. She was asked about it tonight on the red carpet at the AMAs and she acted all coy and dodged it saying "That's a really good question". I 100% think she's already signed on and they're being hush hush about it.

I didn't watch the AMAs (award shows are usually brain numbingly boring LOL) but thanks for the that info! That does sound like they are keeping it a secret maybe for promotional purposes... thanks again!

I agree, and I hope it's true. I actually feel like it will end up being Elena who pulls Damon back from all this, and gets him to turn his humanity back on. But even if that's not how it goes down, I still think she will come back for at minimum 2 or 3 epsiodes. But, I can only hope.

Yup I'd bet on anything that she's returning. She was never hateful towards TVD like Ian and Paul, she has very little going for her right now movie-wise, and most people are expecting her back so it would ruin her reputation if she were to flake on the show that made her. I think her fanbass would react negatively.

Plus they're gearing the season for some huge Delena reunion, unless the end goal is to kill damon, which I doubt.

She's filmed like 5 or 6 movies, and is playing a big part in the new xXx reboot next year. She's doing way better than anyone on TVD.

At this point JP/TVD need her a lot more than she needs to return to TVD for sure. Returning to TVD isn't as key to her career as some make it sound. (Those who think that she owes it to Elena/DE fans to return)

She does have a few movies lined up for 2017, so you're right, but I'm not sure how big her parts are. But after having left TVD, she wasn't really in any notable roles aside from The Final Girls. I'm glad her future looks promising.

You really think Damon is going to hell? I would love that. I would just rather it have Stefan and she can help him gtfo of there and maybe he can finally admit to her that he did love her. Seriously that's all I want. If I'm being selfish then I want him to take her with him and for her to have a happy ending because I think she deserves it more than anyone because she literally didn't ever have the chance because if it wasn't running from Klaus it was stupid ageing.

She put her extensions back in two weeks ago..my opinion is that she will be back for more than even two episodes. She hasn't put those extensions back in since TVD. I don't think she will play Elena though for a bit, will most likely play Katherine first..

Her Salon and hair stylist posted pics of her extensions that were just put in from a few weeks ago .

Well how many episode's do they normally film until Christmas. I think 13 or 14? So the final 2 will film next year. If Nina returns the news should be leaked in December, If not. Well she is just returning for the last two episodes next year only.

Any word if the final gets a respective special to showcase the show like many other's have gotten, or episode 16 is longer than an hour?
