Seriously Kind of Over It Haha

I know this seems to be a VERY popular sentiment, but I a have to vent to people whom I know watch the show. I am seriously over the "Evil Damon" thing. It just seems to be beating a dead horse at this point, and it's the same story beat over and over again every episode. I personally believe, through the season, that Damon is a lot stronger than this and seems like a real regression of character. If this was completely 100% not any of his choice or fault, with real signs of him trying to fight it, I could forgive all of this. Unfortunately, with how the writing seems, it makes it look like, though he is under her influence, he's also CHOOSING a lot of it. I've always found the "Damon being emotionally and mentally weak" thing the poorest choice.

I'm hoping all of this ends soon because I want the real Damon back (and his relationship with Bonnie).

Side note: Enzo has become a far better character since getting together with Bonnie. From now on, any time a terrible character becomes better, I'm gonna call it the "Bonnie Effect".

Haha ya I totally agree..we've been battling evil/good Damon since literally the pilot episode..now we're at s8 and still battling it..seriously plec needs to come up with new ideas already. However ..I will never forget the line Damon told Klaus when Klaus said "how do ppl forgive you?"..Damon said "when u kill ppl u do it to be a dick..if your gunna be bad..be bad with purpose." which in Damon's case has always seemed true.
But I've always known Damon to be a fighter and I believe if he wanted to fight sybils compultion..he could have..so I think that made his character look weak and not the Damon we all know.
I am really curious to see how this series ends.
