I'm a little surprised by this season as it's dark and without the usual humour. I'm starting to think that Stefan will die at the end as Paul stated in an interview - he said that both Damon and Stefan should die to have a great ending.
What are your predictions? Bonnie and Stefan dead, no happy ending as a result for Enzo and Caroline and Damon and Elena alive. My theory is depressing!
With some version of Hell in the picture, I'm not sure that any of the main characters need to permanently die, but we may see at least one of them travel there and/or at least one character be "saved" from eternal damnation to this realm.
shareThere is still humor but it might be a bit less to up the drama. Georgie was funny, Caroline always s, especially when competing with the nanny.
Plus Damon still has his moments like the choice of his literature.

I agree, miss the humour, where are all the snarky remarks and gallows jokes, Damon seems brain dead, Enzo too Bonnie, even Stefan, not funny at all. I think the funniest thing I saw was Damon crashing Carolines bridal dress shopping experience.

Yeah, it does seem a bit joyless. I thought season 5 did a great job with the humor and Kai brought an element of it in 6, but 7 and 8, man...
