After watching last episode I realized that Damon is beyond redemption. Elena is gone for good cause we know Nina won't come back no matter what they say. Stefan sold his soul and breaking up with Caroline again!
I think they will die and their souls will go to a better place because their friends will help them to break the deal and cut a new one.
It looks like Caroline is free again and since Klaus is going to have a new love interest and we are told it will make some fans upset and some happy. I have a feeling they are freeing Caroline for him. Not too happy about it but someone will be happy and someone will be dead. Besides I think I heard Paul and Ian saying that they want their characters to die at the end.

You would think since its the end it would end on a happy note..i hope they dont pull a "true blood" and kill off like almost every main character..that pissed me off.

They really only killed off, I mean as far as major players, Bill. By the last season the show had gone down the proverbial drain anyway (where most genre shows go, from "Lost" to this one).

The end of it all had everyone feasting on a big barbecue!!

I feel like it's either Damon or Caroline dying. I still think Pauls jumping shows when it's all over, I feel the love interest spoiler for TO was Hayley or Aurora.

In my opinion I can't see them killing off Caroline since she could still be a vital character in the series especially if Klaus does make an appearance.

I could see potential for Caroline being added onto The Originals especially knowing that Klaus did have major feelings for her.

That's so over and done with, the actors have no interest in it, the writers especailly Narducci have no interest in it. Only the vocal minority that stalk Twitter accounts still want them as a relationship.

Caroline has kids now, not just any kids either, Alarics kids. She will define key not abandon them and will definitively not remain in NOLA with them.

Klaus wouldn't even let them stay.

Klaus also stated last season on TO he wasn't in love with Caroline.

How is it after watching 8x06 you think Damon is now beyond redemption? It was his idea that saved the twins, although, Stefan got praise for it and Damon got a stake to the heart.

I think if anyone dies it'll be Stefan but that's a long shot. You don't have a main character, like Damon, be miserable for 2 seasons and then kill him at the end. Not on a CW show and not on a Plec show. TVD doesn't even have the balls to kill off Tyler Lockwood much less Damon or Stefan. To me, the longer Damon and Stefan are miserable in S8 the happier their endings will be.

Damon made that deal to get out of hell, he wasn't saving the twins until the car ride when Seline slipped about her and Sybil never going to Hell. Stefan took the deal to save the twins.

No he isn't, he's in off mode. As with Enzo and Caroline a while back, the show treats this as temporary insanity, as non compos mentis. All is good when the phase is over.

I have to say both last season and this season on VPDs and The Originals have sucked and the all over the place. Only thing I've liked in Bonnie's pairing with Enzo. The Originals started out promising and now it's so lame. I doubt it will last longer after VPDs ends this year. I also think Nina will not be in the series finally. If they do lure her, she better get well conceived, plot twist she and the rest of the core cast deserves. Caroline or Stefan going over to The Originals wouldn't help their story or ratings. They had Tyler on the show and the writers/Julie Plec wasted his potential with Haley, the wolves, etc. I hope the original Rebecca (Olivia Holt) will be back full time since Aquarius was cancelled.

If they do, I hope they kill everybody in Mystic Falls. That town needs a reboot.
