When do we get to see Elena? don't tell me the finale

This season has been awful and im sick and tired of seeing Damon not himself for the ENTIRE time. Did Nina even come back???? I don't care about spoilers anymore. I just want to know so I don't get my hopes up only to be let down potentially...

They already finished to shoot episode 13 as Julie said she will could only be there for the finale episode for a scene or complete episode depending on her schedule

At least possibility they keep secret her return before the finale.

The last two episodes shoot next year. I hope it isn't as bad as her returning in the very last scene of the series in a time jump 20 years later. That would be boring.

no they haven't. they just recently finished shooting 8x13.

She should come back for the entirety of the second half otherwise her return is cheap and pointless IMO

I just think Damon and his evil self has been a big bore all season.
