Alaric killing Damon

Just a little question . Why the hell Alaric killed Damon after he saved his kids
I don't get it

reply

...Because Alaric is too much of a dick to realize that the girls was target by Seline way before Damon even met Sybil . Seline was hired by Alaric. Damon had nothing to do with it. If Damon hadn't been there and told Sybil to call Cade to make a better deal with him then Seline's Alaric (and Caroline) would have been dead and the twins would be raised by Seline/Cade .

Alaric and Matt also doesn't realize how easy they are to be killed . Hell,Alaric wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for Damon bringing him back from the other side.

reply

They killed him because he killed Tyler.

reply

Disagree, Alaric specifically said to Damon that as long as he was alive, his kids would always be in danger. The Tyler thing was just a bonus but NOT the reason.

well said hahahahah

@jenk1376

I understand why matt did it
But he just saved Alaric's kids how can he do that . He wasn't even that close to tyler
It doesn't make any sense

reply

Alaric killing Damon was very out of character. Alaric stood by Damon no matter what. It's just the poor writing.

reply

One thing that has not been handled well is the suppose three year time jump to get the twins older without magical aging. It has left the characters acting out of character which kind of makes sense since Rick has been away from Damon for most of the time but still feels off. I have similar issues with Bonnie and Enzo's puppy dog eye routine with each other.

reply

After years of friendship why did Alaric try to kill Damon without much hesitation? Even with Matt's hatred of vampires egging him on, took cold and disappointing

reply

Im sure the deal he had just mad with Cade made him truely immortal, He'll come back.

reply

Was out of character, but, Ricks got a history of his vampire hating alter ego, and he pretty much dumped Damon in season 7 like everyone else because Damon took himself out.
That said, it was pretty crazy that he did that, wonder what Elena will say or do when she wakes and reads all their journals.

We're all on our way out, act accordingly.

reply

I agree if anyone it should have been Matt who staked Damon.

reply

Everything Ric did should have been Matt, Matts the one who promised to kill him if he hurt Tyler.

reply

Maybe Rick knows that Damon is still in there, stuck" Takinng care of the kids" S4 Memorial, and wants Matt to think Damon is dead, maybe Rick did his homework and knows Damon is immortal but doesn't want Matt to know. Would explain why Rick killed him and not Matt, Rick wants Matt to believe he's on his side?

reply

Gonna have to wait and see what happens next

reply

does anyone really think damon is actually dead? come on lol if he is then that is a horrible way for the character to go out

reply

just watch the preview for next episode on cw. no, he's not dead. still alive. idk how.

reply

Yeah, it made no sense to me either. Just a couple of episodes back, Ric was taking Damon's side when Stefan wanted to put him to sleep and now he does this? Especially since it was Damon that saved his kids. If anything, it should have been Matt to kill him.

Another thing I don't buy is Bonnie and Enzo. It's just not believable at all that they are soooo in love with each other. But that's a story for another time.

Which would be worse - to live as a monster, or to die as a good man? 

reply

That's the thing tho even tho they think they "killed" Damon... they didn't because of the deal that was made with cade he is immortal now
