Anybody has the count? In the beginning it was such a big thing but now it's so easy to turn it off and on, that Damon and Stefan are doing it every season!

Damon season5 not just the flashbacks, didn't he do it when Elena broke up with him? Or was he just being an a s s h o l e?

Looking back, I think Damon only turned his humanity off once and that was in 1958 when he turned it off because he couldn't save Enzo and in order to leave him he had to turn off his humanity so he couldn't care. His humanity remained off until we see him in Mystic falls at the start of the show where we see a Damon with his humanity dialled right down but slowly returning as the show progresses.
